We operates one of the largest floating stevedore-crane operations on the East Coast. Over many years, the stevedoring team within Weeks Marine Services has reliably and efficiently served customers — from Nova Scotia to Texas — in the commodity trades of coal, salt, scrap metals, and a variety of minerals, fertilizers, and ore.
In addition to other salvage operations, stevedoring cranes have responded to emergency lightering on grounded ships, sinking barges and stranded cargoes when primary handling systems have failed.
A variety of methods and experience has built our resume with very large steel, stone, and timber removal. The self-mooring capability and high capacity of the stevedoring cranes are often the only option, if not the best choice, for difficult work in the tidal zones.
The stevedoring team within our Services welcomes any opportunity to serve the greater maritime community with experienced personnel and high-capacity equipment.
